A Hero's Beginning Event/The Hero Is Here
Alk and Nate head into battle with the Unification AI, which has moved to a smaller machine to escape being dismantled. Nate and Alk join forces with Themis and other fighters from Starview in the final showdown with the raging AI.
Alk: Are you still okay? Does it hurt where she shot you?
Nate: I'm fine. My body frame took most of the hit.
Nate: Honestly, I think she was more worried about the kids I saved than me. Luckily, that messed up her shot enough that I could take it without any major damage.
Alk: So she's not completely lost after all.
Alk: In that case, we can get back to work. We just need to keep this up a little longer!
Nate: Ha, you sure know how to work someone to the bone!
Unification AI: Subject name: Nate. Subject name: Alk. Lay down your weapons and cease any and all hostile activities immediately.
Unification AI: Pathetic life-forms are always cycling through your own internalized inconsistency and self-destruction. Cease this futility. Give in... and give up.
Alk: You don't get to decide that for us.
Nate: You're got data on the emotions of a lot of people in there, don't you?
Nate: I mean... I get why you would come to that conclusion.
Nate: But that's not all there is to us!
Unification AI: Repeat. Lay down your weapons and cease any and all hostile activities immediately.
Unification AI: Your very design is flawed. You cannot save anyone. You will never create true unity.
Nate: Jeez, what was that?!
Alk: Th-thanks for the save!
Unification AI: Such emotions are unnecessary.
Nate: Ugh, of course this thing has some kinda final form!
Alk: There's no way we can take this on alone!
???: Good thing you're not!
Nimbus: Yo, we late to the party?
Alk: Guys! Is everyone else okay?
Stella: Everything is all right. Regis did well.
Regis: That I did! And I expect lots of praise after we finish off this buggy bot.
King Johnson: Dismantling the AI brought a few things to light. That thing has disabled its learning program!
King Johnson: So there's no point in talking it down. It won't change its mind. All it's going to do is continue to try and subjugate the citizens of this city!
Nate: So it thinks it can boss us around 'cause we're a buncha pitiful screw-ups?
Alk: Talk about controlling...
King Johnson: Indeed. makes you wonder if machines are truly as immune to despair as they think!
King Johnson: Our despair, our pain, our suffering... All of it just makes us stronger!
Nate: You know... I think I understand why you picked me now.
King Johnson: I've got quite the eye, don't I? I hope you appreciate the opportunity I gave you.
Nate: Yeah, yeah. I'm grateful and all that jazz.
Nate: Guess it's time to show this hunk of scrap just how strong our weaknesses make us.
Themis: Count me in.
Nate: What are you-
Themis: We can talk later. For now, focus on the foe in front of you.
Nate: Can you still fight without your AI?

Nate: GAH, you're so IRRITATING!
Regis: Listen up! In order to escape dismantling, the AI has uploaded itself into the machine you see before you.
King Johnson: In other words, if we defeat it here, it's curtains for the entire AI program! This is it! The final showdown!
Unification AI: Halt, you life-forms who will only birth chaos. Such beings cannot contribute to peace.
Alk: Yeah? Just try and stop us.
Nate: We're putting a stop to your crappy peace, once and for all!
